GREG BATES EARNS FIRST BMI PERFORMANCE AWARD
NASHVILLE, November 6, 2013 – Broadcast Music, Inc.®, (BMI®), presented the 2013 BMI Country Awards, honoring the most performed country songs last night in Nashville, TN. The 61st annual event, which is the genre’s oldest awards ceremony.
Greg Bates received his first BMI Airplay award for his Top-5 single “Did It for the Girl.” Greg was in prestigious company at the star-filled gala with fellow award winners Luke Bryan, Hunter Hayes, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert and Toby Keith, among others.
BMI President Del Bryant hosted the ceremony with Jody Williams, BMI Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, Nashville; Michael O’Neill, BMI Chief Executive Officer; and Clay Bradley, BMI Assistant Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, Nashville.
